INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup yellow moong dal (soaked for 1 hour)
- 1 ½ cup water
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 cup chopped turiya
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped tomato
- 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Garam masala
- Pinch of Hing
- ½ tsp Jeera
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Pinch of soda
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves

METHOD
- In a pressure cooker cook the moong dal with turmeric powder, water and salt for 2-3 whistles.
- Once done, strain and set aside.
- In a pan heat oil and sauté jeera, hing, ginger garlic paste.
- Sauté onions, tomatoes, salt to taste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Mix in turiya, soda, cover with a lid and let it cook for 2 minutes.
- Toss in all the spices, boiled moong dal and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Finish by adding coriander leaves and serve hot.
